My Career in fine arts spans over 50 years during which time I have continuously worked in both sculpture and painting. In addition I worked as an exhibition preparator at the Phoenix Art Museum, Director of the Glendale Community College Art Collection and as an Art Instructor at A.S.U. and other colleges.

My Career in fine arts spans over 50 years during which time I have continuously worked in both sculpture and painting. In addition I worked as an exhibition preparator at the Phoenix Art Museum, Director of the Glendale Community College Art Collection and as an Art Instructor at A.S.U. and other colleges.
My family has a long history of collecting. My father was a percussion/ flintlock gun collector. Starting in my youth swords became my passion with Japanese swords in prime position.

I use many different mediums, such as Stone, Acrylics, Oils, Exotic Hardwoods , Steel and Repurposed Objects. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Ideas manifest in various ways through my sense of whimsy, balance, color and my individual style.

I'm a urban Sonoran desert soul and enjoy it's nature and cultural aspects. I love creating new objects and imagery in my work. As a sculptor and Weapons/Militaria Collector I am also strongly influenced by history and process. I have been very fortunate to have received a Fulbright Scholarship to Japan. I am the President of the Japanese Sword Society of the United States and welcome you to look at our free website.
