Japanese Swords



The blade has a 13 5/8" nagasa and is Osuriage with one ana.  It has
shobuzukuri form and was made during the Koto period, C.1500AD.  The 
hamon is gunome/chogi and in near perfect polish.  The koshirae is of high
quality.  The carved iron tsuba has a kiri blossom motif with gold line details.
The fuchi/kashira are in kaga province style inlay on iron.  The menuki are of
flowers with gold details.  It's kodzuka depicts a standing figure with parrot 
in very high gold relief.  Pine needle and fine mother of pearl dust are
imbedded under clear lacquer on the saya.
